Leslie was the "matchmaker" who first suggested that Glenn and I should be together. On the 4th of July, 1995 (when I was 14 and he was 16), we all went to see fireworks, and I distinctly remember her suggesting as we drove over in her station wagon that I needed to take a second look at him. Needless to say, 17 years later, she was absolutely right, and I will always be grateful for the role she played in helping me find the love of my life.
I am also grateful that Leslie "gave" me Stacy, one of my oldest and dearest friends. I am so glad that I was able to see her again a few months ago when she brought Stacy and Logan over for a visit.
Leslie would take care of Stacy and I when I went to her house to play when we were kids. She would always make sure we had food and fun...and she wouldn't even complain if we were standing on Stacy's bed singing Meat Loaf songs at the top of our lungs. : ) When we were older, she gave us our privacy, but was still always available if we needed anything. She was great. I'll always remember her big smile and her love for her family.
